Not content with teaching new tricks to dogs young and old, Battersea Dogs Home has launched a pack to educate the dog owners of the future.
The free education pack (pictured) was expertly written and developed by practising primary school teachers and covers curriculum subjects PSHE/Citizenship, Literacy, History, Art and Design and Design and Technology. It's designed to appeal to teachers and pupils (aged 5-11) alike, with its quirky, fun illustrations by our fantastic artist Jason Chapman, whom many of you will know from our brilliant Christmas card range.
Battersea's Education Coordinator and champion of the pack, Caroline Green, says, "Battersea Dogs Home takes education very seriously and we are proud to present a tool that will teach children about the joys of dog ownership while underlining the responsibilities and issues surrounding it.

It's also a way of introducing children to the role of the Home and those of us who work here and we hope that it will help teachers to deliver the National Curriculum in a creative and fun way."
The pack is available free of charge to all teachers of Key Stages 1 and 2.
Please write to Caroline Green to request your free copy. And please bear with us as we have been inundated with requests!
